Sydney Thunder has confirmed an unchanged lineup for their must-win WBBL|10 clash against the Hobart Hurricanes this Wednesday night at Drummoyne Oval.
Thunder Ready For The Knockout against Hurricanes
With a spot in The Challenger against the Brisbane Heat on the line, this is a must-win game for Thunder.
Head Coach, Lisa Keightley said the team is ready for the challenge:
“This group has worked hard all season, and they’ve earned the right to play finals cricket.
“Drummoyne Oval has been a fantastic venue for us this season. The atmosphere our fans have created here has been amazing, and I know the players feed off that energy. This will be our last game at Drummoyne for WBBL|10, so we’d love to see as many Thunder fans there as possible, cheering us on.
“The team is focused and ready to take on the Hurricanes. A win here is crucial—it’s our ticket to The Challenger in Brisbane, and we’re determined to make it count.”
Sydney Thunder General Manager Trent Copeland shared his excitement ahead of the finals:
“It’s finals time, which is exciting. This is why you play the game. When I stepped into the role as GM, and I sat down with Lisa Keightley and Phoebe Litchfield to talk about the draft, the ambition was always to lift that trophy at the end of the tournament.
“The girls have done a mountain of work to get to this point, leading the way on the table for the majority of the season. Now we’re here—it’s the business end. You win, you keep going; you lose, and it’s all over. That’s what we’re here for.
“Drummoyne Oval is going to be epic. The atmosphere during the Sydney Smash was just a magic day for the club, and I’m hoping we can pack it out again, get behind the girls, and lift that trophy come the end of WBBL|10.”
