Thunder Squad Announced For Hobart Hurricanes Rematch

Sydney Thunder share adapted 14-player squad ahead of their home game to Hobart Hurricanes on Thursday.

Thunder beat Brisbane Heat on Monday evening taking them to the top of the Weber WBBL|09 table, after a thriller in the Road Safety Cup. Tahlia Wilson scored big with her WBBL career best 81* from 54 balls and her batting partner Chamari Athapaththu, took the Golden Bat as she became the league's leading run scorer.

In their last meeting, the Hurricanes came out on top with a 24-run win at their home in Launceston.

The first ball of the game at Cricket Central is scheduled for 3.00pm (AEDT), broadcast live on: Foxtel, ABC Radio, Cricket.com.au and Kayo Sport.

Malgioglio made her debut for NSW Breakers in February this year, featuring as a right-arm leg break bowler. The 21-year-old has best figures of 2 for 58 in the WNCL and joins the Thunder camp from this week onwards.

After successful rehabilitation, Lauren Smith comes back into selection replacing Olivia Porter who sustained a side strain on the field against Brisbane Heat earlier this week. Porter is currently being assessed by specialists to understand the extent of the strain.
