Thunder name squad for back-to-back matches

Boosted by Knight’s world-class experience, Thunder will be looking to bounce back after falling short against the Hobart Hurricanes in their first match of WBBL|10 on Monday night.

Thunder are set for a re-match with the Hurricanes on Thursday, October 31 (7:15pm start), before taking on defending champions the Adelaide Strikers on Friday, November 1 (3:45pm start).

Excited by her return to the WBBL, Knight said:

“I am thrilled to get back on the field with the Thunder girls and looking forward to putting in a strong team performance. There’s a lot of talent and energy in this squad, and we’re all excited to take on the Hurricanes again and kick-start our campaign.”  

Head Coach, Lisa Keightley commented on the team’s focus: 

“We have a driven group, and with Heather back in, we’re looking forward to seeing the team’s energy convert to results on the field. As a team, we are looking to work on forming strong partnerships and putting on a score we know we are capable of.”

Knight’s inclusion will see fellow international Georgia Adams move to the replacements list, with WBBL guidelines outlining that only 3 overseas players can be named in a match day squad. Bowler, Taneale Peschel remains unavailable due to a minor injury sustained in the inaugural T20 Spring Challenge.
