Thunder retain Road Safety Cup with win over Heat

Sydney Thunder have defeated Brisbane Heat by 19 runs in their lone WBBL|10 regular-season encounter, held at the WACA Ground in Perth.

The Road Safety Cup is an initiative between Sydney Thunder, Brisbane Heat, and NSW/Queensland transport authorities, and uses cricket to raise road safety awareness.

Heather Knight shone with bat in hand, driving Thunder to an impressive total of 5/170.

In her milestone tenth season in lime green, Sam Bates delivered another standout performance, claiming four wickets to hold a hard-hitting Heat side to 151 all out.
