Sydney Thunder Head Coach Trevor Bayliss has named a 14-player squad for his side’s clash with the Perth Scorchers this Friday, January 3, at Optus Stadium.
Thunder name 14-player squad for clash against the Scorchers
After back-to-back victories over the Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades, Thunder will look to make this their third win on the trot, and the fourth this season.
The squad travelled to Perth on January 1 without bowler Tanveer Sangha, who is sidelined due to a side strain. Sangha will remain in Sydney to continue his rehabilitation, with fellow leg-spinner Toby Gray joining the squad as an injury replacement player.

Captain David Warner is optimistic about the team's progress, acknowledging that while they’ve shown strong form, their best performance is still to come.
“We’re building something special here at Thunder. The boys are enjoying their cricket and playing with a lot of confidence,” Warner said.
“Heading to Perth is never easy, but it’s a challenge we’re excited for. The Scorchers have set the standard in the BBL for the last decade, but this year we have the squad to make it a real contest.”
Thunder fans can catch all the action live on 7, Fox Cricket, 7Plus and Kayo Sports, with radio coverage on ABC Sport and SEN.
