Tanveer Sangha Extends with Thunder Until End of BBL|17

Sydney Thunder have today announced that Tanveer Sangha has re-signed with the club, extending his commitment until the end of BBL|17.

The talented right-arm leg spinner has been a standout performer this season, impressing with his skills despite overcoming injury setbacks. Sangha's re-signing provides a significant boost for Thunder as they prepare for their crucial final against the Melbourne Stars at ENGIE Stadium. 

A proud product of Western Sydney, Sangha's extension reinforces the club's dedication to developing and retaining local talent. Thunder General Manager, Trent Copeland, emphasised the importance of securing homegrown stars to drive the club's long-term success. 

“Re-signing Tanveer was a top priority for us. His ambitions align perfectly with our club’s goals and future vision. We’re delighted to have him on board for another three years,” said Copeland. 

“He’s an exceptional young spinner with enormous potential. There’s no doubt he’s on track to feature in franchise cricket globally and represent Australia across all formats. 

“His self-belief is outstanding - no matter who he’s up against, he backs himself to succeed. We saw that when he returned from injury and immediately made an impact by dismissing one of the competition's best batters.
