Chirag Bansal named Hero of the West

Chirag is passionate about grassroots development, inclusivity, and fostering South-Asian community engagement. He has significantly transformed junior cricket in the Parramatta region by launching the Girls Cricket League, introducing 52 girls to the sport with a 100% retention rate!

The ask went out to put forward those who make a significant contribution to their cricketing community for Thunder’s 'Hero of the West' award. Volunteers are the unsung heroes of our game. A lifeblood of their respective clubs and associations, all going above and beyond to contribute to the cricketing community.
